Senior Backend Engineer Location: Bengaluru (hybrid) · Experience: 5 to 9 years · CTC: as per experience About the role You will own backend services that handle payments at scale: design, build, review and run them in production with a small senior team. Responsibilities - Design and build services in Java (Spring Boot) or Go with clear APIs and contracts - Own reliability: SLOs, alerts, on-call rotation, post-incident reviews - Model data carefully in PostgreSQL; use Kafka for event flows where it fits - Review code and mentor two to three engineers - Work with product on scoping so we ship the smallest thing that solves the problem Must have - 5+ years building backend services in production - Strong in one of Java, Go or Kotlin, and comfortable reading the others - PostgreSQL or MySQL beyond CRUD: indexes, transactions, migrations - Experience running services on AWS or GCP with containers Nice to have - Kafka or similar event streaming - Payments, banking or fintech domain - Contributions to open source or public writing What we offer - Competitive CTC with ESOPs - Hybrid: three days a week in Bengaluru - Health cover for family; learning budget
